It is the Pye Records #7N.15225 Mono 45rpm by Emile Ford & the Checkmates as initially released in November 1959 on Pye Nixa and first reissued in early 1960 on Pye. This is the England pressing. This is either the 2nd pressing or the first reissue (early 1960) as evidenced by Nixa not on label and the 4-prong center. The songs are “What Do You Want to Make Those Eyes at Me For?”, a surprise Doo-Wop hit in England, b/w “Don’t Tell Me Your Troubles”, a nice Rockabilly. Emile Ford (1937 – 2016), was a musician who was popular in the United Kingdom in the late 1950s and early 1960s as the leader of Emile Ford & the Checkmates, who had a number one hit in late 1959 with "What Do You Want to Make Those Eyes at Me For?" Condition: Record is in Excellent condition (based on Goldmine). The labels are clean and intact, with small hand-written initials on one side.. The vinyl is clean and shiny with signs of light handling but no feelable scratches or defects. Please see all my photos.
