The one arm was intended to make it easy and graceful for the super model clientele to slither in and out of the bar. Kong requires the hand welding of 24 separate pieces of aluminum, and an additional 8 hours of hand polishing. Emeco aluminum chairs have been described as “torpedo proof” they are hand made from recycled aluminum and heat treated for hardness. They are almost indestructible. Emeco has manufactured their brand of stylish chairs since 1944. Since the late 90’s they have collaborated with many of the worlds top designers.
