Description: For sale is your choice(s) of early reader books and language and spelling skills books, basically primary school level. I have photographed the Contents and sample pages of each of the books, and I will let you determine the reading and language level. I have tried to search the recommended reading level for each, and it is often not indicated. I think for reading level, publishers avoid labeling the level for concern that parents will judge that their child is reading above or below level. Most series are labeled "green" level, or Series E, to avoid indicating the grade level. (For example, I find that the Macmillan English book for sale on line is rated from 3rd grade to 7th grade.) Best to view the reading pages and vocabulary pages at the back to make your own determination. At any rate, an extra book of interesting stories can always be welcome! In listing Variations, I need to enter one weight for all, so I entered the weight of the heaviest book. If you are ordering a smaller book, or several books, put the items in My Cart, click Buy It Now, but DON'T PAY!! Click "Request a Total" or "Request Invoice." I will adjust the shipping on the Invoice to give you the best shipping price! (Notice the volume discounts included.) I will also consider offers for several items. Email me an offer (I can't offer that on a Variation listing), and I will consider an adjustment on that, as well. Always glad to get good books into the hands of readers!! I was a high school foreign language teacher, and volunteered my time teaching English as a second language to non-English speakers. I used these materials in my tutoring, and especially if my student had small children, when they mastered the stories, I gave them the books to read to their children. All were in a smoke-free environment. These are the books I had on hand when the Pandemic began, and I have decided that I am ready to pass them on to you! These are the books I have left: The New More Streets and Roads, Scott Foresman & Co. "Curriculum Foundation Series, 1956 edition. It indicates 3-2 level, probably 3rd grade? It is still in good condition, with cover soiling from use, and names written on the inside cover. Binding is tight and pages are clean. 319 pages Shining Bridges, The Macmillan Company, "The Macmillan Reading Program," 1970 edition. It just indicates "Primary Grades." As you can see, the book is missing the cover, but the binding is still intact, and the pages are clean. Still nice for that "extra" reading book! It would be sad not to have it read. 256 pages Ventures, Scott, Foresman and Company, "Curriculum Foundation Series," 1965. Grade level is not indicated. The book is in very nice condition. There are 2 names on the inside front cover, the cover is very lightly soiled from use, but the pages are clean and otherwise like new. 512 pages New Faces, New Places, Follett Educational Corp., "City Schools Reading Program," 1969. Grade level is not indicated. The book is in very good condition, with school stamp on the inside covers. Pages are clean and otherwise like new. 288 pages Language for Daily Use, New Harbrace Edition; Level Green; Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, Inc.; 1973 edition. Grade level is not indicated. The book cover shows light soiling from use, names on the inside front cover, and "outdated" stamp. Binding is tight, and the pages are clean and otherwise like new. 310 pages Tales of Faraway Folk, Harper and Brothers, Publishing, New York, by Babette Deutsch & Avrahm Yarmolinsky, 1952. There is a Cristmas 1958 dedication on the inside front page, and a library card pocket on the inside back cover. There is wear and an ink mark on the cover, binding is tight, and pages are clean. Still in nice condition, with really nice stories. 68 pages Macmillan English, MacMillan Publishing Company, 1982. This is a very nice grammar book, with each chapter giving nice examples of the grammar concept, practical communication practice, and a review of skills at the end. There are some nice readings at the end of the book, and an End-of-Year Review. There is a Handbook reference section at the back and an End-of-Year review, with even amore practice section, with a complete Index at the back to go quickly to the skill you need. An excellent grammar reference book!! Binding is tight, light cover soiling from use, names written on the inside front cover. 344 pages Getting the Main Idea, Specific Skill Series, Booklet C, Richard A. Boning; Barnell, Loft, Ltd.; 1976 edition. A very nice practice book for learning to draw the main idea from a reading selection, with gradually increasing difficulty! The book is like new, soft cover, with no names, clean pages, and just a Reading Language Arts Resource Center stamp on the inside front page. 252 pages. Language and How to Use It, Book 6; Scott, Foresman and Company, 1973 edition. A very nice grammar book, presenting grammar concepts in actual readings, with practice following. I like this one! Like new, with Property of Instructional Resource Center stamp on inside cover, W. Layton Assy. of God, ownership stamp on front inside page, and library pocket on the back inside cover. 264 pages Spelling Words and Skills, Second Edition; Scott, Foresman and Company; 1984. A nice spelling skills book, with good examples, and even reading practice in cursive! In very good condition, with very little cover wear. Two names on the inside front cover, but otherwise clean and like new. 192 pages I hope that some of these are books that you can use! If you have any questions about any of the books, feel free to ask, even if you would like more photos to be sure that this is the book you want. Or, make me an offer on the lot of them!! Thanks for looking here!! (C shelves)
