Description: Vintage Japanese Moriage porcelain vase. Moriage slip glaze is applied in a detailed design of a fanciful rooster. His head and body are featured on the front of the vase and the long whimsical feathers of his tail encircle the back and sides. The bird is applied on a deep rose ground with large hand painted violet and peach color floral blooms. The bulbous shape of the vase gracefully tapers up into a bottle neck and flared ruffle edge mouth. There are two small applied handles. No makers marks are indicated. Vase measures 6" tall x 5" wide and the condition is excellent! I offer special finds that are antique or vintage in age. I try to describe them to the best of my knowledge.
