Description: This charming sampler comes with an estate appraisal completed by Melissa Leventon of the Curitrix Group, San Fransisco Ca. in 2002. The sampler is 11 1/8" H by 9" W and good condition with minimal fading. The sampler was completed by Sally Taylor in September of 1807 at the age of 9 years and 7 months. Possibly Sally grew up in in New England,or possibly England ...the details of the location are unknown. Sally was born in March of 1798. Please read the enclosed pages from the appraisal (which will be included with the purchase of the sampler) for a full description of the condition of and the wording on the sampler. The sampler was valued in 2002 at $1,000. Note: the sampler is adhered to a piece of light cardboard, probably with wax, and the appraiser noted that the sampler should be easily removable from the backing with no damage to the sampler. It does not come with a frame.
