Description: Project chairs! for parts or repair. Aftermarket parts exist but it is up to you to source them.I never got around to fixing these as planned, and it's time to make some room! My loss is your gain. -First chair is missing 1 shock absorber and will need some if not all of the shock absorbers to be glued/tightened or replaced. -The second chair is loose and will need all of the shock absorbers to be glued/tightened or replaced. -There are cracks in the fiberglass in both shells, as seen in pictures. Would likely need epoxy/fiberglass/resin repair. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube. The process seems similar to repairing dings in surfboards if you have ever done that. I've done it with the traditional fiberglass cloth and a 2 part epoxy/resin or just using Solarez for smaller repairs ( a premixed sandable resin/fiberglass mix that cures with sunlight, comes in a tube). There's ways to match the clear epoxy to your chair. It seems these chairs have the self-adjusting white nylon gliders which would make them 4th generation, 1960s or 70s most likely. One of the gliders has a rust stain. I CANNOT guarantee that I am correct. I am going by online research only. It is possible they are 3rd generation, as the paper label on one of the shells first appeared in 1957. Local pickup near downtown Los Angeles, CA OK.
