This is one of the new items, and it really caught our eye as unique, cute and a real conversation piece. This is the Snail House smoker from Dregeno in Seiffen, Germany. Dregeno is a co-op of small businesses that produce handmade wooden collectibles in the Erzgebirge region of the former East Germany. These businesses aren’t big enough to market their handmade wooden collectibles on their own, so Dregeno does that for them. The snail is handmade of natural wood and is wearing a big smile. The body of the snail is the base. The second piece is his shell. The shell is decorated like a German chalet with a window box filled with flowers. On the back side is a chimney. Because this is a “smoker” you can really make it smoke. If you put an incense cone on the base (not included) and light it, smoke will come out of the chimney. It’s about 7 inches wide and about 6 ½” tall. It comes mint in a very colorful box with pictures of other snails made by the same craftsman. It comes to us directly from Germany.
