Description: Issue No. 31 of The Bob Magazine withKendra Smith & Dream Syndicate2-track Flexi Disc Kendra Smith / Steve Wynn (cover of the Velvet Underground’s “All Tomorrow’s Parties” sung in German!!!) & Dream Syndicate (cover of Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl”) DOUBLE FLEXI. Opal interview, Mekons, Replacements interview, Yo La Tengo, Silos, Fresh Young Fellows, Wild Seeds, Bleached Black, Wednesday Week, Alan McGee, Lord John, 86 + loads of record reviews and more…, 15" x 11". "'All Tomorrow's Parties' (1981) is pre-Syndicate Kendra and Steve Wynn experimenting at the Down There studios bringing together a piece of their musical roots and Kendra's childhood homeland. On the other side (1987) is the latest and greatest version of the Syndicate where they burn their way thru another piece of history. From before the days of wine and roses to the days of future passed - sweet dreams are made of this." (Aug, 1987, notes from the band's publicist about the flexi.) Flexis are the same size as 45 RPM records except they are pressed on thin floppy vinyl and play at 33 RPM. Expect minor warping - this is normal from the factory (although this flexi is better than most). Here's a tip: play the flexi on top of an LP and place a quarter on the flexi. We are the publishers - this issue is new. Long out of print. Flexi tracks were unreleased at time of printing. Condition: Magazine and Flexi are new and unused. There is no staple hole through the flexi - this is how it was attached on retail copies. Expect light yellowing to the magazine due to the age of the newsprint. Release Date: 1987 Shipping: First Class. Flexi will be well protected with cardboard. Magazine will be folded. Catalog of Back Issues: Check out our other Ebay listings for many more issues. David Janssen Publishing is the publisher of The Bob Magazine featuring almost 60 issues of guitar oriented indie rock & roll. Many issues feature a flexi disc of unreleased material by bands like REM, Iggy Pop, Flaming Lips, Replacement, Robyn Hitchcock, Blur, Pixies and many, many more - over 90 tracks in all. Thanks!
