Description: Rare Pacific Yew wood. Reclaimed from a dead tree found in the western cascade range in Oregon. Wood was backpacked out. Yew has a tendency to crack when drying as this case has. One filled crack and some smaller checks. Nice warm colors and wonderful swirling grain patterns. Finished with wipe on polyurethane and buffed paste wax. Approximately 3 3/4" tall, 3 3/4" diameter at the top. 3.5 ounces unpacked weight. Dry vase only, no water. Signed, dated.
