Another even shortens the sidewalk area in front of the monument. He even did one of the monument in winter with snow on the ground. The Washington Monument in Baltimore preceded th monument in Washington DC. It was the first majormonumentto honorGeorge Washington (Swann also did an etching of the monument in DC).
