Description: Item : This etched sterling silver scene is titled "Dogfight 1917". It shows a dogfight in the air between two of the early fighter planes flown in WWI. The Lewis machine gun is mounted in front of the pilot. One of the planes has the cross insignia used by Germany and the Central powers. The other plane has a roundel symbol on planes flown by the Allies. The etching is in excellent condition and covered. There is a Certificate of Authenticity dated 1976 on the back. As well as a Franklin Mint tag verifying that this is sterling silver and a limited edition. It is dated 1976.
