Description: New Dacron (polyester) sail for Sunflower 3.3. All white. Dacron is less stretchy than nylon, an advantage for upwind sailing in strong winds. No metal or plastic parts. Just the sail. If you are not familiar with the Sunflower, here is a description: This is a lateen sail plan, with sleeve along luff (front, nearly vertical edge) and another sleeve along foot (bottom horizontal edge) to receive spars. There are cutouts in the sleeves to align with attachment points for halyard and sheet ropes and for mast slide. It measures about 9 feet on the foot, which fits a 10-foot boom. It measures about 11.5 feet on the luff, which goes with a 12 foot 4-inch or longer gaff (top spar).
