This Plate is two pages wide, so there is a crease in the center from where the pages were bound together.A few very tiny pin holes as well, from where the pages were sewn into the binding. It can be flattened and framed without really being noticed too much. There was no other way to get theses plates because they were bond this way. Book Plates are not the originals, rather reproductions made for insertion in a book - usuallysmaller in size to fit the size of the book. These book plates are from a book old enough to be considered Vintage, but they are by no means antique. Either way, they are high quality, colorful, and nicely made plates. Book plates are full page illustrations, pictures, or photographs that are printed separately from the text of the book, but they are bound in during production. Plates add color, texture, and value to books, and they are often gorgeous and riveting.For certain titles, plates are only included in first editions or deluxe editions, and they can often spread over entire sheets of paper.
