Description: This vintage to near antique 800 silver pendant from Coppini features the head of a Satyr encircled by dotted curls and flourishes. In Greek mythology, a satyr is a male nature spirit with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a goat, and horns on its head. Satyrs were companions to Dionysus, the god of wine, fertility, and theater, and were known for their love of wine, women, and music. Measurements: approx 2-1/8” high excluding the loose bail x 1-7/8” wide. Weight: 17 grams.
