Description: Congressional Medal Of Honor Patent Print - White Here we have a poster created from the patent drawings as submitted to the U.S. Government Patent Office for the Congressional Medal Of Honor. This was a design patent for a new Army version which was submitted to protect similar copies being produced until Congress could pass an appropriate law granting it permanent protection. The application was submitted in 1904 by George L. Gillespie who immediately assigned the patent to the Secretary of War.
