Description: This is an excellent Colt Navy flask often called the Coat of Arms flask. It goes with the Colt 1851 Navy, the Colt 1861 Navy and the 1860 Army. This is a very rare and high-condition Colt powder flask. It is beautiful with approximately 75% original lacquer remaining. The rest of the of the copper is a deep, very dark patina that blends perfectly with the lacquer. The gate, the slanted spout and the collar are also a beautiful dark patina and all work very smoothly. It does have some of the gold gild left on the top. It only has a few minor handling marks. The seams are perfect! This would look right at home with a super high-condition cased Colt Army or Navy revolver. Really hard to find in this condition.
