Description: Collection of 6 Assorted Pcs of Childs Transferware Pearlware Miniature Dinner Sets Staffordshire England 1840-1860 This is a mixed collection of scarce miniature transferware dollhouse plates, soup bowls and gravy pitcher, decorated with various patterns. The patterns include Copeland Ivy, Davenport Acanthus, Fruit/Lattice, Ring of Ribbons and Slanted Stripes (makers unknown) all Victorian decorative elements found on adult wares of the period. The plates measures 4 inches (more of less), the plate and gravy pitcher measure 2-3/4 inches across. Well potted early originals, made to the standards usually only seen in full-size Staffordshire table wares, transfer printed in a glorious purple or lavender with pearlware glaze. All made in the Staffordshire region of England from 1840-1860. The set is in great condition. An old small chip inside the gravy boat, an interior hairline on the ring of ribbons plate and other no chips cracks or repairs. Minor typical manufacturing imperfections from Victorian potteries. Children's transferware of this quality is quite scarce and highly sought after. This one of a kind collection offers an assortment as is, as shown. This set would be a perfect addition to any dollhouse dining room, or for a serious collection of early miniature table and tea wares.
