Description: This set of 3 Clifford The Big Red Dog paperbacks, from the "Big Red Readers" series is adorable! It is brand new and in excellent condition! One of the books does have an adhesive sticker dot on the back cover, as I had it color-coded for my classroom library. But, the book was stored and never used, so I consider it to be new. This set comes from a smoke free home. These books measure 9" x 6". They were published by Scholastic and are 32 pages. The Reading Level on these books is 1.3, and they are for ages 5-8. Each of these books has a comprehension page in the back. There are 2 multiple choice questions, with 3 options for answers, and a sequencing activity where 3 events from the story are given and must be put in order. At the bottom of the page, the answers are listed upside down. "The Biggest Easter Egg" was written by Sonia Sander and illustrated by The Artifact Group. The copyright date is 2006. Emily Elizabeth and Clifford love decorating Easter eggs. But, they are wondering if there are any eggs big enough for Clifford to color. Clifford wants to find the perfect egg that he can decorate for Easter. He sees Emily Elizabeth and Charlie with the perfect eggs and wants one himself, but has trouble finding one the right size. Cleo and T-Bone help Clifford look, while also finding that Easter and Spring are a time for newborn baby animals. But, can an ostrich have the answer to Clifford's problem? Children can read this exciting story to find out. "Clifford Makes A Splash" was written by Quinlan B. Lee and illustrated by Steve Haefele. The copyright date is 2007. In this charming book, it is the hottest day of summer and Clifford The Big Red Dog needs to find a place to go to cool off in a big way! Of course, being the size he is, it is a bit more difficult for him than the average dog. Children can read this funny story to see if Clifford finds a place big enough to solve his problem. "Deck The Halls" was written by Maria S. Barbo and illustrated by Robbin Cuddy. The copyright date is 2007. In this Christmas adventure, Emily Elizabeth and Clifford are hoping to find the perfect tree for the town square. Maybe they can pick out the best tree with a little help from both Clifford's dog friends and Emily Elizabeth's friends. They are all having fun talking about the fun stuff they will get to do during the Christmas holiday. T-Bone sings, which is more like howling to the kids! One of them tells him to stop, which hurts his feelings, so he wanders off alone and by himself to search for a tree. He finds himself lost, but then decides to sing to comfort himself. Because he's doing that, the kids are able to hear him and find him! And, he was laying beneath a beautiful tree! The children apologize to T-Bone for being rude, and they all continue to have fun! This is a good story for children who are sometimes feeling left out. These 3 books are difficult to find in brand new condition! I have only seen 1 brand new version of "Clifford Makes A Splash" and "Deck The Halls" currently selling online. I have not seen any of "The Biggest Easter Egg". This set would make a wonderful addition to a 1st grade classroom library! It would also be great to have in a household with young children who are Clifford fans! I am hoping to find this set a good home.
