Description: This is certainly rare, but it may be because the writer was not known for fairy stories. The English publisher is also not particularly well known or necessarily particularly prestigious. This copy has a small amount of separation at the front cover, with the rear cover join being perfect. The binding is a little loose and there are occasional specks of foxing in a few spots, but nothing appears spoiled in relation to either illustrations or the type. It’s pretty good for the age. Fergus was probably already quite renowned for his Mystery of a Hansom Cab, but that was not a bunch of fairy stories. He lived in New Zealand.
