It will hold a vase or bowl with a base diameter of up to 1 3/4 inches. About 3 1/4 inch wide and 1 inch tall. About 33 grams in weight (very light from age) Excellent condition - no rock. Please note that as wood ages, it shrinks more across the grain, than it does along the grain (this is one of the basic methods for observing age). This is an antique stand, which is why the upper surface is oval, rather than round. Antique examples are never perfectly round. If you want a perfectly round one, please look for a brand new one - there are probably plenty on ebay.
