Description: CAREFREE Gravy Boat True China by SYRACUSE Blue Mist Mid-Century MCM Vintage This item is called the “Gravy Boat with Attached Underplate” by Carefree True China by Syracuse in the “Blue Mist” pattern. This piece is hard to find. It was made from 1958 to 1966 (true mid-century modern). The lovely floral design has small blue flowers, green stems, and leaves in two shades of green. While this is a gravy boat, since it has a modern round shape you can also use it as a relish dish, or a snack/candy dish. This piece was made in the USA. It measures about 2 1/2 inches tall, and the round bowl is 5 3/4 inches across. The underplate is 8 inches across. It is all one piece, not 2 pieces attached to each other. I couldn’t find any flaws at all… no cracks, no chips (not even flea bites), and no crazing. It’s simply just like it was when brand new. This piece will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper to prevent scratching, then craft paper, and then bubble wrap and extra padding inside a sturdy cardboard box so it arrives safe and sound. Enjoy!
