Note there is great imagery on both the front and back, with Flag Man and Rusty battling Nazi soldiers on the back on the page. Timely Comics’s Captain America #1 had appeared months before this comic in December 1940, and note the parallels in Holyoke’s version to Timely’s Captain America and Bucky.
