Cahoon Hollow Beach is a gorgeous stretch of coast in the Cape Cod National Seashore in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. It was named for the Cahoon family who resided on the Outer Cape for many years. Cahoon Hollow Beach features dramatic landscape accentuated with massive dunes on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Two long, steep paths down a slightly eroded 75 foot dune from the sand parking lot to the beach. The steep path tends to discourage families with younger children and older adults and is more popular with young adults due to The Wellfleet Beachcomber, a popular seaside bar and restaurant located in the beach parking lot. The Comber has a long history of hosting great local and national acts in one of the most well known live music venues on the Cape.
