Description: Date: c.1950sArtist: Baezner, A.M.Size (in): 39.25 x 23.5Size (cm): 99.5 x 59.5Condition: BLinen backed: NoThis wonderful poster was issued in the early to mid 1950s to advertise Morocco as a travel destination by that country’s national airline. In 1953 Morocco’s two primary airlines, Air Atlas and Air Maroc, merged but continued to operate under their own original names until 1957 when the combined airline was renamed Royal Air Maroc. This poster isn’t dated but was issued sometime between the 1953 merger and the adoption of the new name in 1957. The artist’s name A.M. Baezner appears in the lower right hand corner and the lower left hand corner indicates “Galliard Maroc”. This unrestored vintage original poster has minor loss in a few spots along the right edge and a bit of dust staining to the lower right hand corner. The poster otherwise has modest handling wear and bold color and displays nicely.
