Description: Very nicely made Eva (Type 2) dart point from Kentucky. Good patina and good ground-contact aging - unquestionably authentic. I don't recognize the chert, but the red tone may come from heat treatment of the preform before the point was knapped. Color is that of the 1st photo, 2nd photo color is not correct (?). Base is steeply beveled but does not look damaged to me. One barb is nicked. Early Archaic period (7,500 to 6,000 B.P.).
