Description: Travel back in time with this H.N. White "King" C-Melody saxophone. The serial number stamped on the top of the neck and back of the body is 36,962. This indicates H.N. White made it in 1920-1921. Made by H.N. White, Cleveland, O. is engraved on the front of the bell, as well as floral engraving. There are several places around the body with letters marked on it from the previous owner (please see photos). Cosmetically, it is quite tarnished. The back finger pearl is quite worn. Functionally, some of the pads are quite worn. The neck cork is in good condition. No mouthpiece. Some of the mechanism need work, as they don't easily close tightly. This instrument should be serviced and given some TLC. It comes in an old Conn hard case in good working condition. The handle, latches, and hinges all work properly. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a stout cardboard instrument box. Please check out our eBay store, Time Travel Music, for more cool vintage stuff, including a bunch of vintage guitars (and a few ukuleles, banjos, fiddles, mandolins and amps, as well as fiddles, brass, woodwind, and various oddball musical instruments and old instrument brochures & catalogs).
