Description: c 1875 William Davenport (Longport, Staffordshire) tea trio, pattern #2617. Hand painted in the glorious Imari style in a palette of cobalt blue and browns on a white background with lavish highlights in gold, with similar applied to the inside of the cup as well.In excellent original condition with no cracks or repairs, but some firing discoloration to the base of the side plate.The reverse bears the red Davenport back stamps, a hand written pattern number and painter's marks.
