(Ref: Phillips #770) A very fine & beautifully engraved map with original outline color. (Paper size: 9 3/8 x 11 5/8” – Size from border edges: 7 ¾ x 10”) Verso (back) is blank. This map depicts Northern Asia including Russian Siberia and Northern China. It extends from the Caspian Sea to the Korean Peninsula. The Great Wall of China is noted in the south, and the tip of northwestern America is noted in the most northeast. Topographical features are shown, and major cities, towns, waterways, mountain ranges, deserts and islands are identified. This is an original, more than 180 years old, not a reproduction, and it is in good condition as shown in the photos. There is some foxing in the outer margins, with just a few small spots on the map. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
