I didn't have to travel far to get there, the variety of wildflowers through the summer was amazing, there were butterflies everywhere, and there were almost no people (because all the soccer games had been cancelled). I pretty much had the place to myself. This scene is one of the four little ponds in the park. The ponds were surrounded by wildflowers, and usually had geese on them somewhere. This painting is a fine splash of summer feelings and colors. This painting is on a sturdy commercially made stretcher and is painted around the sides (gallery wrapped), so it does not need to be framed. The stretcher is a little narrower than the ones I make myself, so framing it eventually might be a good idea. There are many layers of paint and the colors are fully saturated. It will arrive wired and ready to hang. About Me I've been a full-time artist for 35 years.
