We started by removing all seats and windows and covering the outside of the bus with custom sheet metal. We left windows for the bedroom in the back and areas in the body of the bus for light. Many windows were covered to increase privacy. The interior was then completely insulated with Foam It Green spray insulation. The insulation covered all the walls and the ceiling. The floor was done with a plywood base and luxury vinyl plank cork base waterproof flooring installed over the plywood. There is a bedroom area at the rear of the bus with carpeting and a new foam bed and a couch in the front. The kitchen drawers and cabinets are all assembled and ready to be set into a final location. The wood countertop for the kitchen is ready for the drop-in sink. The ceiling is thin plywood cut into strips. Walls are plywood and ready for the color of your choice. There are large storage areas under the bus. The outside of the bus is painted with white primer. The plan was to spray paint or to layer things on it. For the ceiling we had planned to reinforce the plywood ceiling with metal strips or redo down the line. The structure of the bus is made from metal supports every 25-30 inches which allows for easy install anywhere. The driver’s seat is currently not bolted down, but all hardware is there. You will see a gap area between the walls and ceiling. This is intended to allow a channel to run wires which can then be covered. Extreme care was taken at every step to ensure that this was done with best practices so that the bus will have a long life. We purchased the bus in 2021 and drove it to the current location in Petaluma, CA for renovation.We had anticipated traveling in this and built it with great care. Unfortunately, our situation has changed, and we now must part with all our hard work. Please note that this comes with all items listed above including the uninstalled solar and composting toilet.
