Description: Wonderful signed Brian Van Nostrand earthenware pottery piece. Van Nostrand is an artist from Hacker Valley, West Virginia. Each of his pieces is an original piece designed and signed by the artist. The pieces are made from blends of many different clays and minerals; some mined in the vicinity of his West Virginia home. The basic shapes are produced on the potter’s wheel. The glazes and surface finishes are original formulae developed by Mr. VanNostrand. Piece shown measures 5" tall and 3 1/2" wide at the base. Signed with "B. Van Norstrand" on the bottom. The vase is glazed with a crystalline style glaze. Very organic and appealing.
