Description: Solid brass Shabbat Menorah. This Menorah is unique in that it is also made to hold your Sabbath candles. Menorah is in excellent vintage condition and has a wonderful patina. Scholars theorize that these Polish Chanukah lamps that bear two servant lights (as opposed to the singular servant light normally found on a Chanukah lamp), served a purpose, having been used on one of the days that Chanukah fell on the Sabbath, as Sabbath candlesticks. All proceeds from the Ebay sales go to the non-profit organization, the Yiddish Arts and Academics of North America (YAAANA), and its cultural center called Yiddishland California.
