Description: Hello and welcome to splendid specimens As most of you know I am a diamond in gemstone merchant who cuts and facet gemstones. I have such a soft spot for fine art and antiques, eight years ago in my travels overseas I purchased this magnificent solid brass figurine. Upon closer inspection and after seeking advice about this item, I found out that if you give it a shake it actually sounds like rain. That is the only way I can explain it. In the 1800s this was actually created as a Childs toy to shake and play with. You will see there are four different expressions of emotion on each side of this budda ball. This is very heavy indeed and I currently use it in my office as a paperweight. Buddhism has been part of the Japanese culture since sixth CE This magnificent piece is 85 mm x 75 x 75 mm The Pateena is untouched and it has flickers of polished gold throughout. It is all marked on the bottom and it’s truly fantastic and unusual oddity. As I moving overseas I cannot keep everything but this gives everybody a chance to own some really superb pieces. He is 527 g, so an item that is 8.5 cm tall and weighs over half a kilo shows you the quality of the item. He will be posted out to you and packed with love. He’s an absolutely marvellous piece of history and I’m sure he will end up in the right home. So go ahead and treat yourself and make sure that your next purchase is simply a splendid one
