The glass is very collectible as the Belmont Stakes race is being run in Saratoga Springs this year and next year due to renovations at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. In addition, unlike the 1 1/2 mile race in Belmont Park, this year's race will be run at a distance of 1 1/4 miles. The official glass is 5 1/4 inches high and 2 3/4 inches wide at the top.
