Description: This beautiful one-of-a-kind vintage 1950-1960's Avshar Tribal rug makes it's way from the Anatolian region in Turkey. It features octognal medallions with geometric shapes and patterns. This rug features an extremely dense, tightly woven wool pile that is great for high traffic areas. Natural dyes and colors include: sage, cream, black, sand, and more. This hand made rug is made of non-shedding hand spun wool making it easy to clean, and making it incredibly soft to walk and lounge on. This densely woven wool rug contains natural oils called lanolin that naturally resist dirt and grime, therefore allowing it to look cleaner for much longer than synthetic rugs. Regular vacuuming will remove any dirt and grime, and allow you to enjoy your rug for many decades. We are a long time family run business based in the U.S. with direct support from our family in Turkey. We source our inventory directly from Turkey and the surrounding regions.
