Description: This is a fine British Boar War South African 2½ Shilling Silver Coin pin back Broach that is in excellent condition. The coin is approximately the size of a U.S. 50 cent piece and is struck from genuine silver. The front of the coin bears the seal of South Africa with the inscription, '2½ Shillings 1892'. The rear is with a profile of the South African president and 'ZUDAFRIKANSCHE REPUBLIK'. Surrounding the coin is an intricate silver frame in which the coin is set. The reverse side of the frame has a functional horizontal swing pin with wire ‘C’ shaped catch affixed to it. The coin exhibits mild wear from circulation but remains in excellent, undamaged condition. 7912
