Premium CMOS 8MP sensor The DR970X records super sharp 4K Ultra HD videos with 3840 x 2160 pixels in a 155° wide angle. This gives you optimal image quality day and night. The enormous difference between Full HD and Ultra HD: 4 times as many pixels and thus an extreme increase in detail, for example for license plates. Modern H.265 video coding More resolution means bigger files...unless you use better compression methods. High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC/H.265) is the standard for 4K video broadcasting and streaming. With HEVC you get great looking 4K videos but the same recording time as a regular Full HD dash cam. Infrared rear camera The rear camera of the DR970X-2CH also records smooth videos in Full HD at 30 frames per second. Parking mode support In parking mode, the dash cam monitors your vehicle while you're away and records video when it detects movement or an impact.
