She was six months old when her father set her on a horse, it was to be the beginning of a lifelong career. Judy’s mother, grandmother and favorite uncle (each an accomplished artist) wisely encouraged Judy to continue her love of horses through art. Later Judy would add domestic animals, North American wildlife and birds to her list of subjects. From preliminary sketches to the final painting, Judy infuses her art with anatomical precision while allowing her subjects the freedom of movement and anticipation, expressed by her lyrical brushstrokes.
