I only found two live tiger cowries while living in Hawaii, the first one I found right next to the beach in 12 inches of water at Kapolei, the second I found in 3 feet of water, and the moment I saw it, I knew it was a beauty. So I asked the owner of the live fish store I was in, How much? and a half hour later I was watching my new tiger as it checked out its new home in my aquarium. . Anyhow, this gorgeous beauty is in terrific shape considering how big it is. It does have the minor imperfections normal for a shell this size, including a smooth repair on the top of the dorsum and some light scratches, which is why this shell isn't listed as a GEM, but as the photos show, this big, vivid, glossy, beautifully patterned baby will look terrific sitting on your shelf!The perfect shell for a first-class collection. As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
