Fits: Sig Sauer P220 P226 The AccuMold Elite Defender II holster is an excellent duty holster that incorporates a traditional thumb break with our Pinch Retention Device (PRD). The PRD is a polymer clamp, riveted and sewn into the welt of the holster. It provides additional retention at the front of the trigger guard yet releases cleanly when the weapon is drawn in an upward motion. Jacket slot belt loop fits up to 2.25 in. (58 mm) duty belts. Different brands require more break in than others.Breaking in agood leather holsteris mandatory for it to function;when it is new you may not be able to draw the firearm from it as quickly as you might need it. After you have checked the holster for suitability and broken it in correctly, then you can bet your life that it will hold the gun securely, protect the gun from inadvertent access, and allow you to get the gun quickly when you need it. There are plenty of articles online for breaking in a leather holster.I get many messages about the thumb snap (if applicable). The thumb snap is difficult to get snapped on many holsters when you first get it. You have to work leather. You have to break in a leather holster. Some holster makers are able to get close to perfection, but you usually pay 3-digit prices for those. Also, all holsters should be worn with the belt fully tightened, but not uncomfortable. Never wear your holster loose, or without a proper gun belt.
