Description: This was the first Benchmade 710, I live in Oregon and knew a few people on the inside of the factory. The price is high, but it’s a legit piece of Benchmade history. I told myself I would never sell it, but some unfortunate things have happened. Out of all the hundreds of Benchmades I’ve owned over the past 20 years. This is the smoothest most beautiful knife I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure why they didn’t keep the aluminum handle scales as I prefer them over the G 10. These handle scales also have the liners cut in a very cool square pattern to reduce weight. They chose to not do this after the prototype, and I’m also not sure why, as it reduced the weight incredibly well. Yes, the price is slightly high, but this is the ultimate Benchmade. You won’t find one ever again like this. eBay takes a large fee so I have to price accordingly.
