Description: Absolutely beautiful copy of the classic 7-LP boxed set of the nine Beethoven symphonies conducted by Arturo Toscanini, on RCA shaded dog LM-6901. All seven discs are in pretty much mint condition except one, the disc with sides 5 and 10, which has one mark on side 5, over part of the 4th symphony. It isn't terrible but it does tick lightly through part of the music. This one mark is the only one on all the 14 sides. Every other moment on the whole set looks and plays mint. The box is also in excellent condition, with the hinge detached but still nicely intact with no torn corners or frayed edges or anything. Slight shelfwear but really beautiful. The booklet is included in lovely condition, with minor signs of handling. This is a truly classic recording, which many people regard as one of the finest versions of these symphonies ever recorded. And this copy sounds just stunning. A near-flawless copy, very hard to beat.
