Description: The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor is an American propeller driven, single piston engine military trainer aircraft. It had its first flight on 02 December 1948. There have been over 2,300 manufactured. The piston engine model was eventually succeeded by the upgraded T-34C Turbo Mentor powered by a turboprop engine. Julie Clark is a pilot and retired Northwest Airlines Captain. She was one of the first woman pilots to fly for a major airline. Julie is famous as an aerobatic air show performer. Although she retired in 2019, she had been performing her solo act for 41 years. She performed in a beautifully restored Beechcraft T-34 Mentor. She bought her Beechcraft in 1977 sight unseen at a government surplus auction in Anchorage, Alaska for $18,000.
