Description: Up for sale is a lovely vintage oil painting after the famous neo expressionist German painter A.R. Penck. This painting was purchase from a Florida auction with no provenance, I am assuming the work is not original to the artist but I have not had the work professionally evaluated. Executed in oil on thin artist board the painting measures 16 x 12 inches while its frame measures 18 x 14 inches. Signed low right "AR Penck" the painting is well executed and highly attractive showing a contrasting composition of yellow, red, black and white. Forming strange and beautiful shapes, this abstract painting is a charming example. The condition of the painting shows minimal surface blemishes while its frame shows discoloration and wear. I do not pretend to sell works that are fake as real or hint towards that, I do believe this to be a very nice copy.
