Description: Vintage Antique Japanese Tea Set Hand Painted Porcelain Blue/Peach. This set is absolutely beautiful! Hand-made with glazed porcelain, the set features a unique mid-century design. All pieces are blue and peach in color and hand-painted with cheerful white flowers. The set includes teapot with lid, sugar bowl (lid is missing), creamer, six cups, six saucers (5 3/8") and six side plates (7 1/4"). The teacups (6 oz) are beautiful and delicate. Many of the pieces are stamped "Made in Japan", but have no other markings regarding manufacture. The hand-painting is slightly raised in texture and the pearl glaze gives each piece a beautiful shine. All of the pieces, with the exception of a chip on the creamer (see photos) and a chip/crack in one cup (see last photo) are in excellent condition. Any minor imperfections are the result of being hand-made. This vintage Japanese tea set is a lovely display piece and would make a beautiful addition to any collection, especially collectors of Asian cultures. This set belonged to my Great Great Aunt and was proudly displayed in her china cabinet for years and then by my Grandmother in her home. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
