Description: This is the third Karges chest I have for sale. Karges is perhaps the most expensive and exquisite furniture manufacturer in the United States. Most of their work is highly ornate and intricately carved by hand. This is more of the traditional Karges style. I prefer the walnut chests I have for sale much more. New these chests would run from $4000-$6000.This chest has more wear than the walnut chests and there are a few chips in the finish. The chest has an undercoat of blue which was polished away to create the distressed look you see. There are a few chips on the top where the blue undercoat is visible unintentionally.The chest is 43" wide, 27" tall and 21" deep.
