Description: BEAUTIFUL HAND SEWN ANTIQUE C1840-50 SILK BROCADE BODICE W/ BONING ALL ORIGINAL Sweet little early bodice!! Black silk with brocade red, green and white flowers, lined with a heavy muslin. It has a 22" waist, 32-34" bust and is 20" long. There are 6 bones which I expect are baleen. Interestingly there is a lighter muslin piece on the inner left bust area which has a bit of batting in it as though it was used to enhance that breast. Please see photos. Very tiny handstitching. Condition is good. Some underarm wear, more one than the other. Please see photos. Estate found recently here in Maine
