I partially charged the BC-200 XLT for 5 minutes, and actually picked up the NOAA weather on the WX band, but then the battery would not hold any charge.I can make ONE guarantee with this lot: ALL 4 BATTERY PACKS NEED TO HAVE ALL THE AA NICAD CELLS REPLACED AND REBUILT AFTER CLEANING THEM UP! These will not plug and play, but none have leaked to the extent that the internal electronics have been damaged from leakage. The picture of the open battery pack is indicative of what must be done and what you will find.I got lots of enjoyment from these vintage scanners about 35 years ago.
