Blink and you miss the tiny town of Baxter right by it, a place surrounded with farmlands and forests and wild lakes. However, there are secret things in those woods amoong the beautiful rolling hills. Folks see them sometimes. One of those things is a strange apelike creature that walks upright, with dark fur and long arms. A bigfoot living near Baxter has gained some serious notoriety in recent years. I lived for years just three or four miles from where this mysterious cryptid is said to lurk. I can tell you already that folks have been talking about and seeing a bigfoot or similar ape-man relative in the Upper Cumberland for decades. The stuff you hear online is just the tip of the iceberg! This is not the only Cookeville-area cryptid, but in recent years is perhaps the most widely known! So, what was I to do when I wanted to find something to commemorate the now-increasingly-famous critter from my former hometown? I looked everywhere and nobody had anything about the Baxter Bigfoot, so I created a few things myself. I'd like to share them with you, too, if you find them to your liking!
