Bauer Pottery Green Hi-Fire RINGWARE Pie Pan Dish with Metal Rack Vintage

Description: This pie pan was made of pottery with green glaze, as part of Bauer's Hi-Fire line, with a ringware pattern on the outside. It measures approximately 9 1/2 inches across the top and about 1 3/4 inches tall. Any spots in the photos are just camera flash glare. Also included is an unusual rack or holder for the pie dish. The rack is made of copper colored metal and measures approximately 11 3/4 inches from the end of one handle to the other. The underside of the pie dish is marked as shown in the photos. The rack does not appear to be marked. Overall and other than as noted, this pie pan is in good condition with no chips, cracks, stains, etc. There is a visible scratch on the bottom of the dish; it's about 2 inches long but isn't very deep. There also is some crazing or surface wear on the bottom of the inside of the dish -- what little there may be, is the type of thing that's best seen when the piece is held at the right angle in a strong light and isn't readily noticeable under normal conditions. The rack has some spots of discoloration that possibly could be addressed with some elbow grease and the right cleaning product, and could use a bit of polishing if desired. The pie pan pretty much sits "on" as much as "in" the rack. It's not a perfect fit and it doesn't appear that it ever was. It should be fine for serving your pie but it doesn't seem like a good idea to carry a hot dish straight out of the oven -- by the handles of a loosely fitting rack!
